With projects completed in various locations such as Virginia, Illinois, Florida, and even the Bahamas, where we constructed three homes on a 13-acre island that withstood the impact of Hurricane Sandy, a category 3 storm, our team brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to every project. Drawing from our expertise in the latest industry products and techniques, as well as our mastery of traditional craftsmanship, we strive to infuse quality into every aspect of our tiny homes.

BRETT HILTBRAND, CEO

As a Florida state licensed building contractor with over 30 years of building experience in the Midwest, Florida, and the Bahamas, Brett has constructed hundreds of homes ranging from Habitat For Humanity homes to 10,000-plus square foot luxury homes. His exceptional skills were recognized when he was invited twice to participate in ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover to design components and oversee construction crews working tirelessly to assist families in need. In 2014, Brett and his wife Kim made the decision to leave the traditional building industry and founded Cornerstone Tiny Homes, where they now exclusively focus on building tiny homes.

Kim is a down-to-earth designer with a specialization in assisting clients with material and equipment selections for their homes. She has worked closely with numerous new home buyers to create their ideal living spaces. Through a meticulous process known as programming, Kim works with you to determine your exact needs and preferences. She then develops a comprehensive plan, presents you with options, and guides you through the design process of your new tiny home, all while keeping your budget in mind. Kim’s ultimate goal is to enhance your unique lifestyle and provide you with top-quality products for your new home.
