About Sunrise Buildings in Missouri

Sunrise Buildings boasts a solid manufacturing foundation with over 100 years of collective construction experience. James Burkholder, the founder of the company in 1997 as Mid Missouri Mini Barns, began his construction career at the age of 18. After a brief period of farming, he returned to construction and got his start in the mini barn business with the guidance of one of his brothers-in-law. James started building a few sheds and displaying them along the highway, which eventually led to increased sales.

The business was initially a family-owned operation and still retains a family atmosphere, even as it has grown to employ ten full-time staff. In 2008, the company purchased 4.5 acres in Versailles, Missouri along Hwy 52 and constructed a new manufacturing facility with over 7400 square feet of workspace. As the business expands, they aim to increase their dealership base and offer additional options. Furthermore, they strive to improve quality while keeping costs low by regularly upgrading their methods and equipment.
