THE PIONEERING TINY HOUSE VILLAGE THAT SPARKED A MOVEMENT

At Quixote Village, we firmly believe that safe and affordable housing is a basic human right. We are dedicated to providing housing solutions for members of our community who are experiencing homelessness in Thurston County, Washington. As a tiny house village, we offer communal living with a supportive environment that includes peer mentorship. Our staff work closely with residents to help them achieve their individual goals and connect them with necessary community services. Our tiny homes are not only economically efficient, costing less than half of what it takes to build an average apartment, but they also leave a smaller ecological footprint with their simple 144 sq. ft. size. However, the most gratifying part of it all is that our residents are no longer without homes. Housing is a fundamental need, and once our residents are housed, they are able to work on other important aspects of their lives, such as education, employment, physical health, mental health, and overcoming substance use challenges. This is a significant accomplishment that our resilient residents achieve every day.

Currently, Quixote Village is at full occupancy and has a waiting list for residency.

Quixote Village is the pioneering village that started it all! We are a thriving community of 30 unique individuals living together in our tiny homes. We have a dedicated Program Manager and Resident Advocate who work tirelessly to provide a variety of services tailored to meet the needs of each resident, including weekly yoga, life skills classes, communal dinners, resident meetings, one-on-one case management for employment, education, behavioral and physical health support, as well as haircuts and a walking group.
