Old Hippie Wood Working and Design, founded by Rob Millar, is a labor of love driven by Rob’s passion for art and nature. With a fine arts degree from Ringling School of Art and Design and experience as a carpenter in British Columbia, Canada, Rob brings a unique perspective to his work.
After a career as a graphic artist in the gaming industry and the fast-paced lifestyle of Las Vegas, Rob found himself yearning for a more balanced and serene existence. It was in the desert where he discovered the quietude and tranquility he craved, and developed a profound connection with the desert’s flora, fauna, and landscapes. The inspiration for Old Hippie was born out of Rob’s desire to create environments in nature, or inspired by nature, for others to enjoy.
For Rob, it’s not just about building something, but about creating an entire environment. He approaches each project with the environment in mind, considering the intended purpose and the desired feeling of the space. What is the intention behind the creation? If you can dream it, Rob Millar of Old Hippie will bring it to life, crafting spaces that are not only functional, but also meaningful and intentional.
