In 1946, Solomon Kropf launched a mobile home sales business. By the 1960s, Kropf Industries began selling high-end custom mobile homes and modulars. In 1964, Kropf’s first retail sale lot was established in Sarasota, Florida.

In the mid-1970s, Kropf Industries saw the introduction of the park model market, leading to the establishment of our own manufacturing brand in Goshen, Indiana.

After Solomon Kropf’s retirement in 1976, Robert and Vernon Kropf took over the business. While Vernon oversaw the Florida location, Robert oversaw manufacturing in Indiana. Robert’s son, Donald, and son-in-law, Curt Yoder, also joined manufacturing in Indiana.

In the early 1980s, increased demand for park models led to the suspension of mobile homes and modulars. After a few years offering travel trailers and fifth wheels in our product line, Kropf Industries focused exclusively on park models.

During this season of growth, Robert served on the boards of the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association, the Recreational Vehicle Indiana Council, and even helped found the Recreational Park Trailer Industry Association.

Kropf Manufacturing continued to expand into a family business, officially purchased by Donald Kropf and Curt Yoder in 1998 and renamed Kropf Industries. Donald’s son, Trevor, joined the company in 2010, making it a fourth-generation family business.

Throughout its history, Kropf has remained true to its founder’s motto of “If you do it, do it right. If your name is on it, make it right.” This tradition continues today, as Kropf Industries is known as the “Emblem of Excellence” in the park model industry.
