Luxurious Camping and Glamping at Gorgeous Stays
Gorgeous Stays is a one-of-a-kind “glampground” run by a dynamic mother and daughter duo. Our site boasts a variety of tiny houses, vacation rentals, and glamping tents, providing all the essentials for your camping experience. You can leave your gear at home, and come as you are! We’ve got everything covered, so you can focus on relaxing and enjoying the great outdoors.
The founders, Helene and Micaela, opened Gorgeous Stays in August 2018. In just seven months, they transformed an old rafting check-in center and a basic campground into a rustic-modern lodge and glamping retreat. You and your family can enjoy the best of both worlds: the magic of glamping in the wild, and a cozy retreat to return to after a long day of adventure.
We’ve created each of our tiny houses and glamping tents with your comfort in mind. Every accommodation is individually themed and meticulously crafted to ensure you have a unique and comfortable experience. You’ll have all the amenities you need to make your stay easy and fun, including linens, towels, pillows, gel memory-foam mattresses, a coffeemaker, a microwave, a mini-fridge, a sink, water, and an RV toilet. If you need a shower, the Lodge is just a short walk away.
Our retreat spans 6.75 acres, with parking by each accommodation and plenty of spaces to relax by the stream. You can enjoy a game or two on a sunny or rainy day, or unwind by one of our community fire pits. Our food pavilion and propane grills provide the perfect setup for a relaxing evening with friends and family. At night, you can gaze at the stars and listen to the soothing sound of the nearby stream. If you’re feeling social, you can join other guests up at the Lodge for a game or a chat.
Gorgeous Stays is located on US Hwy 19 West in the Nantahala Gorge, just 12 miles west of Bryson City. You’ll have plenty of options for outdoor adventure, with 4 rafting companies, 2 ziplines, a ropes Adventure Park, the Appalachian Trail, and the Nantahala River all within 2 miles. For mountain biking enthusiasts, Tsali National Forest is well-known, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail-of-the-Dragon (Hwy 129), and The Great Smokey Mountain Railway are all less than an hour away. Our location is simply unbeatable!
