Bear Creek Carpentry has been operating in the Adirondacks since 1991, bringing over 40 years of carpentry experience to every project.

We specialize in building various types of small structures, including “Tiny Houses on Wheels”, Tiny Houses on skids or foundations, prefabricated mini cabins, cabins, camping cabins, cottages, and shells. We also construct playhouses, storage sheds, out houses, firewood storage sheds, kids bus stops, complete homes (including timber frames, conventionally framed homes, and log cabins), additions, decks, docks, boat houses, commercial structures, pole barns, garages, and custom log work. We understand that your free time is precious, and we are committed to providing personalized service. We are happy to meet with you in person or speak over the phone to discuss your project or plans, from the initial design and estimating stage to fabrication and project completion. As a home-based family business, with involvement from my sons, daughter, and brother, we offer flexible hours and complete attention to detail. We live where we work, making it convenient for you to schedule a time to discuss your plans.

Our designs are both attractive and functional, based on our firsthand experience living, working, and playing year-round in the Adirondacks with its severe weather conditions. Our roof lines are simple, pitches are steep, and roofs are sturdy. Porches and entrances are strategically located at the gable ends and covered, eliminating the need for shoveling in and out during winter months. Our standard windows are insulated and available in wood or vinyl. All framing, siding, trim, and handrails are kiln dried and of top quality, ready for finishes. We also offer optional furnishings and cabinetry, produced in-house. At Bear Creek Carpentry, we strive to achieve the standards of “Old World Craftsmanship, Using the Latest Technology.”
