Historic Shed was started by a husband-wife team who run a very hands-on family business from design through construction. They have managed a historic preservation consulting company together since 2000 called Preservation Resource, Inc. In 2006, Craig came up with the idea for Historic Shed, which was officially launched in 2008 in Brooksville, FL. They have two teenage children and a Jack Russell Terrier named Chuck. And with the Tiny House movement spreading like wildfire, we’ve seen how a small cottages can make a wonderful full time home. Below are some base plans for cottage designs. Each can be modified in a variety of ways to complement your historic property or meet your individual needs, and we have several more under production. Most cottages price out in the $225- 250 per sf range when complete (including utilities), although this can vary depending on finishes chosen and site location.
