Emergency Tiny House Shelters for Building Emergency Tiny House Shelters
The Tiny House Project is a registered Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Corporation dedicated to constructing Emergency Tiny House Shelters for individuals experiencing houselessness. It is unacceptable and inhumane to leave people without basic human survival needs, waiting in the streets for affordable housing to become available.
Our mission is to unite communities and provide warm and safe Emergency Shelters for those in need, creating a secure environment where they can access services and programs while they wait for permanent housing. As a society, we must strive for better solutions to ensure our survival and growth as a whole.
Overview
The Tiny House Project is proud to present this proposal for services aimed at supporting individuals experiencing houselessness in achieving their goal of having a safe place to rest with dignity, purpose, and a solid foundation to transition back to being active members of society. We have formed partnerships with various businesses and Non-Profit Organizations, as well as individuals and groups dedicated to assisting those experiencing houselessness, to bridge the gap between the streets and permanent housing in a compassionate manner.
The Objective
Tiny House Shelters serve as an immediate bridge between the streets and more permanent housing, playing a vital role in humane treatment and survival of individuals who have lost their homes in our communities. When conventional methods fail and lives are at risk, innovative and unconventional solutions are needed for success.
Our objectives include:
The Opportunity
The opportunity lies in providing immediate housing in the form of Tiny House Shelters, protecting individuals from the elements, and offering them a safe and healthy environment as they work towards reintegrating into society. Providing Tiny House Shelters as a transitional solution bridges the gap between the streets and permanent housing, and costs a fraction of the funds currently spent on policing and managing the complexities of street living. It upholds the basic human right to have a place to rest, while also making the streets cleaner and safer for everyone.
Another opportunity is to provide stable locations for individuals experiencing houselessness, including Veterans, to live and be easily located by outreach teams, programs, churches, and organizations that offer daily, weekly, and monthly services. This approach puts an end to the endless cycle of starting over, saves millions of dollars, and reduces wasted hours in trying to locate and serve clients within a broken system.
Additionally, community gardens in every Tiny House Community not only teach valuable skills that can lead to future employment or careers, but also provide fresh produce and vegetables to low-income individuals and families who often lack access to such resources. This alleviates strain on the food stamp system and promotes self-sustainability.
The Solution
Our proposed solution includes:
