Small Spaces CLE specializes in constructing compact dwellings and mobile commercial structures. Our company takes pride in building homes and buildings in Cleveland, Ohio, and shipping them to various locations across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Our homes and buildings are crafted with engineer-reviewed plans, professional construction techniques, and premium materials.

​We utilize our proprietary TurboShell building system to construct our homes. This innovative system is 40% lighter than wood and boasts resistance against rot, mold, bugs, and critters. The walls, roof, and floor are made of high-strength structural steel and EPS foam, while sophisticated design and construction techniques eliminate thermal bridging and provide hurricane-rated strength. Our homes are also 100% recyclable and do not release harmful gases. With full encapsulation within the insulation envelope, our homes achieve an impressive R20-60 rating on all surfaces, depending on the wall thickness.

We offer flexible build options for DIY enthusiasts, with a la carte levels of completion available for both Tiny Houses on Wheels (THOWs) and Tiny Houses on Foundations (THOFs). Our assembled shells start at $17,000-$24,000, with additional options that can be added to suit our customers’ needs. Weathered-in assembled shells start at $35,000-$45,000, and our Turn Key Homes, complete with appliances and fixtures, start in the mid $50,000 range. For those seeking a touch of luxury, our Signature line features premium finishes and cutting-edge technology, starting in the mid $90,000 range.

In 2013, our founder Carl established Small Spaces CLE as part of his remodeling and renovations business. His vision was to create innovative, luxurious, and affordable tiny homes. Since then, the demand for tiny homes has grown significantly in popularity. Small Spaces CLE has been recognized at The Tiny House Jamboree and featured on HGTV and DIY networks for its innovation in the tiny house community. In 2018, Derek, with his engineering background, joined our team and has been instrumental in our continued growth. Building tiny houses on wheels requires careful consideration of engineering, weight, balance, and wind loads, and Small Spaces CLE strives for perfection in every build. As a result, we have expanded our product offerings to include kit homes and accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Additionally, we have developed a fully compliant commercial line to enhance trade show efficiency and visitor experience for businesses seeking innovative solutions.
